i think its referring to the awkward genre title “IDM” for stuff like aphex twin, squarepusher, plaid et al that was somewhat prominent in the late 90s-early 00s. it was fairly widely adopted by journalists but found heavily annoying by musicians and music fans
Seems to me that it says “Death to melligent canoe” and there's a sort of wobbly drawing of a boat (not a canoe!). Does that explain it?
I saw a bumper sticker that said “death to intelligent dance music,” can someone plz explain what this means?
